UNDERSTANDING TEST RESULTS: Our spectrometers have a 5% threshold for detection. This means that we cannot detect anything present in a sample under 5%. This could include unexpected or dangerous substances! When we provide a percentage, be aware that the technician uses the software and their own experience to estimate the amount of each substance present. To reflect uncertainty, these percentages are given in a range. These estimates may not be accurate, may vary between technicians and between samples from the same batch. Another thing to consider is that poor mixing and inconsistent production can mean that a small sample does not represent the entire pill or batch it was drawn from.
We do not include percentages if only one substance is detected. Values listed as N/A are substances we were unable to assign a percentage to. Tests highlighted in red indicate particularly dangerous or unexpected results. Flagged samples can alslo be viewed on our Alerts page.
We also use test strips to detect the presence of fentanyl, benzodiazapenes, and lysergamide (LSD).
The uncertain match in this sample does not match with anything in our reference database; however, it is suspected to be related to ketamine or a ketamine derivative but we cannot confirm.

Phenacetin is a pharmaceutical analgesic drug that was used to treat fevers and mild pain before the invention of acetaminophen. It was taken off the market in the 70’s because it has been shown to contribute to kidney disease, some cancers, and death due to heart disease. It is often referred to as “super buff” and used to cut stimulants. Phenacetin is one of a few substances that remain after cooking cocaine into a cocaine base. It has been reported to be more caustic to the lungs when smoked, especially in higher amounts. To avoid this, one may choose to instead inject the substance by adding vitamin C or similar to break down the cocaine base into a water soluble form.

2C-Family
Fentanyl: Negative
This sample shares a number of similarities with 2C-B, but is not an exact match for our reference spectra. As all of the 2C-family substances look very similar by FTIR, we cannot definitively say that this sample is 2C-B.

Unfortunately because the signal for the 2C-family compound was quite small, we were unable to distinguish which 2C compound was present. As all of the 2C-family substances look very similar by FTIR, we cannot definitively say that this sample has 2C-B.
